A few words about our department
The Supply Chain department is composed of several teams:
- Local teams, specific to each country, which are in charge of customer service, operational logistics management and the construction of sales forecasts in conjunction with marketing and sales staff.
- A central European team, itself organised into 4 sub-teams:
- Supply planning/procurement: this team's mission is to manage the stock levels of our 2,500 finished product references to guarantee availability targets. It plans and executes the procurement of components and finished products from our 250 suppliers (internal factories and subcontractors) to make them available to the warehouses of our European subsidiaries.
- Logistics Performance: This department manages the performance of our entire European logistics network (inbound transport, storage, preparation and transport to customers). It defines the strategy and implements improvement projects.
- Quality and Industrial Solutions: The role of this department is to manage industrial and quality standards in order to guarantee the satisfaction of our customers and consumers. Firstly, by ensuring the QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Environment) compliance of SBM products at all levels of the value chain (components, suppliers, subcontractors, logistics providers). And by managing the relationship with industrial subcontractors (internal to the group or external): manufacturing standards, price management, contracting, make or buy strategy, monitoring of industrial tests, etc.
- Product Life Cycle Management (PLM): This department aims to manage the product life cycle by maintaining global master data (relating to products and suppliers) and the product life cycle, in accordance with SBM business rules and workflows. It is composed of the Master Data Team (ERP master data management), the Packaging Team (production bills of materials, packaging choices for new finished products, updating of production sheets for suppliers), and the NPD Coordinator (New Product Development) who oversees the progress of the various new product development projects, in compliance with our procedures and regulatory constraints and the launch timing
